Carlington Community Health Centre's harm reduction dispensing unit, once a reliable resource, had served over 3000 individuals in three years but had become outdated. Recognizing the need for innovation, we introduced Our Healthbox to revitalize this essential service.

Our Healthbox marks a significant shift, bringing hope to the community and Ottawa at large. This advanced harm reduction system addresses the shortcomings of the previous unit, offering a more user-friendly and reliable solution. Unlike the old unit, Our Healthbox doesn't rely on coins or tokens, which often caused frustration. This innovation ensures seamless access to necessary resources.

The new system integrates cutting-edge technology, providing a friendly, anonymous, and efficient inventory management system.

It guarantees the availability of health and harm reduction supplies and offers real-time insights into community needs. Additionally, it features a directory of local services, connecting individuals with essential resources, and provides health education materials, including naloxone training videos, to empower the community and save lives.

Carlington Community Health Centre helps individuals take control of their health and works to improve community wellbeing.
